Welcome all to another 22 Questions. This week we somehow managed to snag Eric Nylund for the interview. As many of you all know he is the author of two of the previous Halo novels out, First Strike and Fall of Reach, as well as other noted books such as Signal to Noise and Dry Water. Surprisingly he was able to do our interview even though he has been really busy with the newest Halo book, Ghosts of Coral. (Editor’s Note: Well he was only able to answer 18 of the 22 Questions. I think it must have been him being confused or busy with the new Halo book. For the sake of answering them, all the missing answers will be “Halo: Ghosts of Coral”. Also if at the end of the book you notice some confusion and Simon and Garfunkel show up and start stealing things then you know where our missing questions went). He has also been really involved with the upcoming game Gears of War. Without further ado, here is are his answers.

- Pet Peeve: Politicians—or in general people who talk a lot but say very little.

- Game that was the biggest let down: The ones that have never materialized: Blizzard’s GHOST and FALLOUT 3
- Closest you have come to death: Rock-climbing: the person rappelling ahead of me fell to their death. Equipment failure. Could have been me.
- What are you better at than anyone you know: Polishing my nearly incomprehensible first draft fiction into something that’s almost good. (Not such a small feat considering I’m borderline dyslexic, can’t spell, and certainly cannot type!)
- Little known fact: I’ve got an AB negative blood type.
- Ideal business: General Manager of a paradise island commune in the South Pacific (I actually have a book planned about this J)
- First game that had you hooked: Broderbund’s The Ancient Art of War on my 128K Fat MAC
