For the Halo Nation, this is the long, cold winter. Can you feel it? The architects of our infrastructure are hard at work laying new roads. Say thankya. Unfortunately, we don’t expect to see any of them until sometime after the thaw.
Over the frozen horizon awaits new Halo 2 Maps. Like a shot of methadone for the chronic junkie, they will hold us over until the launch of Halo 3. For the Makers, it will be our readiness drill – to insure that we all have 360’s cocked and at the ready to chamber the third installment of the franchise. All we know about this new offering of maps is that their development is in the right hands. How many will be available for download is anyone’s guess.
Guesswork is the primary occupation of any devout Halo fan. Having mastered every crouch-jump on every nook and cranny of the known Halo Universe, we find ourselves in a waiting game in anticipation of what is next. Starving and outnumbered, we are camping out like the Continental Army at Valley Forge waiting out the moment when it will be time to finish the fight.
Will you go the distance, Constant Reader? Will you remain around the campfire, keeping it stoked to a warm burn? Will you continue to add the noise of your Battle Rifle to the song of the camp? Is there amusement enough left in your campaign as an online Spartan to remain faithful to the Nation? Or will we lose you to an errand of piñata farming before the time comes to lay down the SMG?
I am in this for the long haul. I will be here.
I got my 360 just for the new maps and the beta, which I’m crossing my fingers for. Sadly, weather has kept my off of a stable XBL connection, but I can now play Oblivion.

I haven’t got a 360 but I will before the new maps come out, and its summer in Australia so HA.
My favourite game will always be the current Bungie title.
I’m betting there will be about five maps, and they will be far better than the old “new” maps. Certain Affinity has my confidence.
This will give me time to break down my shotty, clean, polish, and have it ready to finish the fight.

Other games only make weekend visits to my xbox, halo is where the home is.
I guess that’s Deej’s fancy way of asking if we’re getting bored of Halo.
i am a little bored with matchmaking, but as long as I have my clanmates, H2 is still the best fun to be had.
On the other hand, there’s just something about Lego Star Wars II…
