This week I wanted to swing the spotlight around and talk a little more about our MLG Teams we have here at Tied the Leader. We have been training for quite some time, and have 2 active teams that are ready for challenges. For this week, I sent the questions to Homicide, one of the MLG Captains. Although most of the questions relate to the clan as a whole, you can still gather a certain feel for the atmosphere of our game. Speak your lesson Homicide, and say it true.

How and when did your clan start up?
I’m not sure of the exact date but I joined it in February 06. I was ready to hang up my controller when I came across the TTL Gunslingers. They were a new clan only a couple months old but the way they played and enjoyed the game I knew it was love at first sight. I believe all started when a few gamers collaborated with the Tied the Leader blog and decided to bring everyone a “GOOD GAME”.

What meaning does your clan’s name hold?
For me it means matchmaking justice. If you ever come across a Gunslinger in matchmaking you know your going to get a good game and enjoy yourself. You won’t find any trash talking Timmys here. One day I was playing UNO at 2 in the morning and I joined a random party. This guy goes hey your with TTL I heard about you guys, you’re awesome! That is when I knew I was a part of something special.

How many people call your clan home?
I’m not sure of the exact number but I know we are almost full. Last month we had a huge recruitment drive which either put us full or just under.

How do you go about luring and screening recruits?
We mainly recruited through the Tied the Leader Blog. We have received a lot of spotlight through HBO and Bungie, and most of our recent members have found us through there.

What are some unique bylaws that your clan enforces?
No trash talking or spawn killing. Always bringing a good game. It’s a good thing there is nothing about betrayals in our bylaws or I doubt I would still be a member.

What do you do to build camaraderie in your ranks?
Betray everyone. (Dweezle- Homicide says thank you for a job well done with a sticky nade to the face. In all seriousness, he can’t help it. For the most part we build camaraderie on our forums, in customs, and at LANs.)

What is the best way to get booted from your clan?
Taking the ghost on Relic to get the sniper instead of rockets (Dweezle- XerxdeeJ demands his ghost be used for slaying, and not for a shopping spree for a long barrel at your local Relic Supermart). Cheating in any shape, way or form.

What gametypes does your clan prefer?
We are a very mixed group. I personally prefer MLG games. I love mixing it up in customs with my clan also. We’re always playing Cat and Mouse, Kevin Bacon, Sticky Punch, Hogtied, Zombies and a bunch others. It’s easy to find members to form a big team battle party too.

What is your poison/passion: Matchmaking? Customs? Challenges? MLG?
ALL THE ABOVE. MLG is my favorite but I LOVE Halo. I’ll play anything.

What is the closest game your clan has had in a Clan Challenge?
Hmm I would say the first Panic Attacks challenge. We won 2 matches and they won 3 if I remember correctly. I play with them on a regular basis. They’re a great group of gamers.
