D0921 T0112 Y2006KPaul

Come one, come all, and see what is in store for today. Elephants through hoops and motorcycling tigers are nothing. We have KPaul from Bungie this week for the 22 Questions. You all may know him as a writer who covers interviews and Humpday Challenges over at Bungie. KP hasn’t been at Bungie for too long, but has been in the community for a while though, making his mark at Halo.Bungie.Org amoung other places. This week, since I am doing some experimenting with the questions and trying to find the perfect mold there is no ‘Favorite Holiday’ question and I brought back the ‘Graffiti Tag’ one. I just can’t make up my mind. Without further ado, KPaul.

  • Gamertag: KP but my alt tag is “Shishka” so if you don’t get a request through to KP you should bombard the “Shishka” gamertag with every kind of message possible.
  • Pet Peeve: Internet drama.
  • Your Best Moment of Triumph: My mom came out to visit last month, she tried to correct something I did and I finally got to say, “My house, my rules.” to her. Oh how the tables have turned.
  • Game That Was the Biggest Letdown: Does it still count if I sort of saw it coming and was warned by everyone? Perfect Dark Zero. The graphics were amazing, but there were lots of things about it that just felt off. It felt like I was running through water or something and the weapons felt like pea-shooters. I knew it’d happen yet still I bought it.
  • Closest You Have Come to Death: I spent a week in Intensive Care a few years ago, but that’s not an impressive story. One time, I was in Rhode Island and I was sucked under by the undertow about 10 yards or so before I bounced off a rock and came back up. That could’ve ended poorly, I suppose.
  • What You Are Better at Than Anyone You Know: Stickies. No one’s eclipsed me in a game of FAE since I started trying. I don’t doubt that many are better at this than me, it’s just that I’ve yet to meet them.
  • Little Known Fact: Despite having brown hair, my facial hair is red. WEIRD.
  • Ideal Business: I don’t think it gets any better than this.
  • First Game That Had You Hooked: NHL ‘95. That got me into gaming, Goldeneye got me into First Person Shooters and Halo brought me into the industry.
  • Mac or PC: If I were made of money, I’d probably say Mac. Unfortunately, I’m made of sticky pink and white things and while I could technically sell a kidney and get a Mac Pro, I feel that’d be irresponsible at this juncture.
  • Song You Are Currently Listening to: A Perfect Circle- Gravity.
  • Game/System You Are Looking Forward to the Most: Halo 3. If the unfinished product is this much fun and looks this good, I can’t imagine how great it’s going to be when it’s actually done and ships. I already have a 360, so I guess I’m most looking forward to the PS3. Nothing on the Wii interests me enough to buy it. The PS3 has a couple titles I’d love to play, and it’s a nifty piece of hardware, but my vestigial kidney’s already spoken for.
  • Supernatural Power of Choice: To be able to reach through computer screens. Perhaps with a piece of cutlery. Just far enough to get a good stabbing motion.
  • Most Expensive Thing You Ever Stole: Cheese.
  • Favorite Arcade Game: Spy Hunter. Spotted it in an old arcade one day and I spent the rest of my time there playing it. Strangely addictive.
  • Last Gadget Purchased: 32” LCD TV. Basically my first really cool and reckless expenditure of disposable income since I had such a thing.
  • Current Trend You Least Understand: How does Carson Daly have a late night show? I shouldn’t do these kinds of things at 2am.
  • Simon or Garfunkel: I honestly couldn’t choose; I know little or nothing about them. I’ll stick with Maynard.
  • Historical Figure You Would Reanimate: My choice vacillates between the historical figure I want to punch in the face the most and the historical figure I want to talk to the most. There’re a lot of people I want to punch, but I’d be silly not to choose Hitler. I’d like to talk to Aristotle, I think.
  • Dogs, Cats, Birds or Wombats: Dogs, especially the big ones that you can play with. Golden retrievers, Labs, Shepherds, Huskies, etc. are all pretty cool. I like cats as well, they’re just not as fun, and they’re generally jerks.
  • Movie Quote: “You mean Shenanigan’s?”
  • Graffiti Tag: I can’t draw. When people ask me to draw things for them I scribble emoticons. Even then, they’re indiscernible.

Thanks alot KP for the interview. Also thanks for the interview with Xerxdeej, our Scallywag of Propaganda here at TTL. Next week will be the start of a new exciting feature for the 22 Questions. Stay tuned and check it out!

Nice one Dweez, Im glad we finally got KP away from his busy schedule of randomly betraying me in the Warthog. Super-Troopers, a fine fim choice if you ask me. Im looking forward to Halo 3 also, and more games with this guy!

Great 22Q Dweez. Might be one of the best yet, and getting any kind of glimpse of H3 from an insider is just too good to be true. Glad we could finally hold diplomatic talks between our two organizations.

It is fun to log in and see who is interviewed each week. These just keep getting better and better. I’m still waiting for Bill Gates himself to appear and tell us how cool we really are!

I agree with his choice for a game that was a let down. I was so disappointed in that one.

I always enjoy reading 22 Questions, and I always enjoy reading KP’s articles so obviously this was a good one. KP’s sense of humor keeps me laughing.

    Nice read, thanks!
