Ever since the official clan of this blog took on the Webmasters of H.B.O. for a mildly contested evening of fun, the TTL Gunslingers have been busy planning and playing in arranged challenge matches with other clans in the Haloverse. It’s been a busy and educational season of gaming. In summary, we have been getting our asses kicked around some of our favorite maps a fair amount. Our cast of opponents represent the finest in honest clans of Gamers.
I could give you the blow-by-blow, should you be interested, but there is a better way to reap those details. Like it or not, we have committed ourselves to preserving the results of these matches in living, breathing Quicktime. Our Machinima Editor In Chief, a Gunslinger known as El Burritoh, has lended his multimedia talents to the creation of a Clan Challenge playback that allows us to figure out how [and when] everything went wrong. At the same time, our opponents are welcome to watch how they got the best of the Gunslingers.
In cooperation with some of our more techno-savvy opponents, a side-by-side capture of the events of the Clan Challenges has been made available on our Clan’s Media Portal. The viewer can watch that occupants of a Warthog evading a sniper dangerous gaze in one frame, while the other frame depicts that sniper taking aim. At the same time, the audio from each team is split between channels, allowing the viewer to prioritize or mix the team chatter with a volume control balance slider.
Up next, the Gunslingers face off in a marathon challenge of 5 matches against The Winged Warriors, under the ruthless leadership of Night Rider 7. Stay tuned…
If your clan craves the finest in custom matchmaking, the ‘Tied the Leader’ Gunslingers are at the ready to fight and die for you. We could use a few willing clans in our challenge pipeline; and we have found that there is no better way to insure a good game for all involved.

I should say, of the two clan challenges I played in, playing against the 2old2play guys was great. Sure, we got pwned. And they hadn’t even practiced. But a great group of players with outstanding behavior and honest play. As a result, I have a few more reliable names on my Friends’ List.

I’ve been able to participate in 2 of the challenges and they were definately fun times.
Yeah we got our butts kicked, but with a good attitude. I can’t wait to see who else challenges us.
Any chance of you guys releasing WMP or divx versions? QT gives me like 2.00 FPS since I updated and upgraded it.

We are converting to Divx right now. For some reason, it reverses the audio channels.

In saying ‘Stand by’, I am asking you to check back. I am not recommending that you use your modem to lock your opponents out of a game.
why do you play gay maps like gemini and burial mounds? that’s retarded.
It’s fun to do something unique.
The clans that challenge us get to pick half of the games/maps. Why should we choose things that we find in Matchmaking?

Nice Writeup. These clan matches are a lot of fun. It is hard to find a good reputable clan that wants to play legit. TTL Gunslingers are a good clan with reputable members and a nice website. Keep up the good work.

Great post Deej. These Custom Clan Matches are alot of fun. Win or lose we get to play with people who are out to have fun, and respect other gamers. Hope to be a part of many more….
